The South African Navy will conduct a single 9 inch Rifled Muzzle-loading (RML) gun firing at the Middle north battery in Simonís town on Saturday 16, December 2017 at 12:00. (Day of Reconciliation).

The purpose of firing is to demonstrate the safe handling and firing of a unique example of a muzzle loading gun which was used in war by various countries and nations throughout the world.
